Science Shows the Truth of the Word of God

Note: This post was originally published in 2018 with the title: Science Supports the Word of God. A friend has pointed out that Biblical truth requires no support. Whether our views or interpretations support it or not, it remains true. Thus, saying science shows or declares is likely a better way to say this, as the Bible itself does when it says, “the heavens (study of the stars, etc) declare the glory of God; and the firmament showa His handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1)

I have two previous blog posts, each beginning with “Science shows…” One posting, https://greg.kenyonspage.ca/science-shows-the-truth-of-biblical-marriage/, considering how science shows something of the biblical teaching of ideal marriage being long term between one man and one women. The other, https://greg.kenyonspage.ca/science-shows-the-biblical-truth-about-two-becoming-one-flesh/, considering how science shows someting of the teaching that a man a women become one flesh through sexual relationship and by having children.

Does this leave you encouraged or surprised? Encouraged that the teaching of the bible is displayed by the exploration by science of the physical truth of this world, or surprised? If, indeed, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1), should we be surprised when study of earthly things (science) shows the truth of the Word of Him who created them? Consider the argument of the Apostle Paul in the book of The Acts of the Apostles 17:24-27,

The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. (NKJV)

I hope these postings about science demonstrating the truth of what the Bible teaches encourages you to continue to “feel your way toward God,” who created all things and ultimately to “find Him.”
